Our Story
Kulka Systems was founded on a simple observation: businesses are spending too much money on software they don't own and can't control. Every month, the bills stack up for SaaS subscriptions, per-seat AI tools, and cloud services where you're paying a markup for convenience. Today Kulka Systems focuses on three things: automation, AI cost consulting, and custom enterprise apps that replace SaaS. We also build tools of our own, starting with AI Desktop, an open-source way for AI agents to operate a desktop.

Kulka Systems is led by founder Mike Kulka. Mike has spent the last ten years as a professional software developer, including work on applications used inside Fortune 500 companies, and for the past three years has taught computer science. That combination of enterprise-grade development experience and the ability to break down complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans is what drives everything we do.

What We Believe
- You should own your tools. Software you own means no vendor lock-in, no surprise price hikes, and no third party holding your data hostage.
- AI shouldn't have a middleman markup. Bring-your-own-key solutions give your team access to the most powerful AI models at wholesale API rates, not inflated per-seat SaaS pricing.
- Automation should fit your business. Off-the-shelf tools force you to adapt your workflow to their limitations. Custom scripts, bots, and apps adapt to you.
- Technology should be understandable. We explain what we're building, why we're building it, and how it works. No black boxes.

Kulka Systems is based in Monmouth County, NJ. We work with businesses across the county and the Jersey Shore, and we are a short drive away when you would rather sit down together. We also work remotely with clients wherever they are based. Kulka Systems is a trade name of Upwell Digital Solutions LLC.
